What does “TRANSPORT” mean to Sojitz?
An Overwhelming Lead in Japan
Most of the airplanes flying over Japan are made by companies overseas. Sojitz has handled Boeing’s passenger jets for over 50 years.
At the same time, we are expanding our business working as sales agent for private jets. Our services include maintenance and flight management to ensure that people like company executives can immediately fly where they need to, when they need to.
Canada’s Bombardier is the world’s 3rd largest aircraft manufacturer in the private sector, after Boeing and Airbus. Sojitz works as sales agent for the company in Japan, and also handles smaller regional jets which fly to less densely inhabited places and remote islands. We are the undisputed industry leader, having sold over 900 civilian aircraft within Japan—or over 80% of the country’s total!
The Railway Infrastructure
India’s Economy Needs
Millions of people around the world rely on trains for their daily transportation. Sojitz has supplied over 12,000 Japanese-made train cars and related equipment across the world, and are even responsible for some of the subway cars which ferry New York City residents around the metropolis each day.
Sojitz has also entered the railway maintenance business in Canada, providing repairs and component replacements. In addition, we also recently received contracts for track laying (approx. 600 km) and electrification works on India’s dedicated freight corridor connecting Delhi and Mumbai.
We provide shipbuilding support and possess a worldwide marine vessel sales network and chartering service. We also handle steel plating and other materials used in ship construction.
Our logistics network is effectively capable of mobilizing any kind of product, transporting it directly from the manufacturing plant to its destination. We also own and operate storage warehouses for grains and fertilizers, tanks for liquid chemicals, and terminals used when exporting or importing these products.
